Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in publishing with us.
As an independent publisher distributed by Simon & Schuster Australia, we offer a personalised trade quality publishing experience and the unmatched sales reach of one of Australia’s largest distributors.
We accept unsolicited submissions. We encourage all who submit to familiarise themselves with our list. If you can see your work sitting alongside other titles, and you and your work qualify for submission, we welcome the chance to learn more about your work.
How to submit

Subject Line
The email subject should be the title of your manuscript and your name.
Body Of Your Email
In the body of the email, please include the following:
- synopsis of the book (up to 500 words max). A synopsis is a short informative outline of the book.
- 50 words (approx.) about you as an author
- approximate manuscript word count
Email Attachments
Please be sure to include the manuscript (as a single word document attachment) or an excerpt from your manuscript of up to 2,500 words
Optional extras to include with your submission:
- Any endorsements the work has received by other authors/experts in the field
- Please describe for us, how you are engaging your potential audience right now (email list, social channels, podcasts, activity in professional networks or organisations)
- Promotion/marketing plans – how you will market and promote this publication? What promotional opportunities will you be able to take advantage of?
- If you’ve published before, please tell us about that experience and what you’re hoping will be different with this book.
What happens next
We will be in touch within two to four weeks. If you do not hear from us, we are not proceeding further with your submission. Due to the large number of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond to every submission or provide individual editorial advice or reasons for our decision.
